Nokia Networks refused to cooperate with Megafon in the occupied regions of Georgia

Nokia Networks refused to cooperate with Russian mobile operator Megafon in the occupied regions of Georgia – Abkhazia and South Ossetia.  The online edition Telecompaper.com has reported based on information released by Russian news agency Cnews.ru.

According to reports, Russian mobile operator Megafon has switched to Huawei equipment, as Nokia Networks refused to cooperate with Russian mobile operator Megafon in the occupied regions of Georgia due to political grounds.

Megafon owns the mobile operator Aquafon in Abkhazia, and Ostelecom in South Ossetia.
