Negotiations to continue after visit of PM to Brussels

“We had a productive discussion with Christian Danielsson,” Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party, stated after the meeting with the special envoy of the European Council President on Sunday.

Kobakhidze states that discussions will continue after the Prime Minister visits Brussels.

“We had another productive discussion with our partners. We discussed all issues related to dialogue and a possible agreement. We have moved forward in many directions, but discussions will continue after the Prime Minister visits Brussels. Some issues need an additional agreement, clarification and dialogue should continue,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.

Christian Danielsson, a special envoy of European Council President, met with the ruling Georgian Dream representatives twice during a day, on March 14. He also met with the leaders of the opposition parties.

Christian Danielsson arrived in Georgia with a 3-day visit. The purpose of the visit is to mediate political dialogue between the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition initiated by EUCO President Charles Michel on March 1.
