NBG: Inbound remittance flows rise by 10.4% year-on-year to USD 348.3m in June
In June 2026, the volume of inbound remittance flows to the country stood at 348.3 million US dollars (or 925.0 million Lari), which represents a 10.4% (or 32.8 million US dollars) increase compared to the corresponding figure for June 2025, according to data published by the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).
Statistics released today by the NBG reveal that the largest share of remittances in June originated from European Union countries, accounting for 42.2% of the total at 147.0 million US dollars, with an annual growth rate of 4.8%. Among EU member states, Italy, Germany, and Greece contributed the highest shares to total remittances.
Furthermore, the upward trend in remittances from the USA and Israel continues. In June, the annual growth rate reached 12.7% for the United States and 22.4% for Israel, with trade volumes amounting to 66.2 million and 29.4 million US dollars, respectively.
In June 2026, outbound remittances sent from Georgia abroad amounted to 39.8 million US dollars (or 105.7 million Lari), representing a 16.0% increase compared to the same period in June 2025.
