NBG and Central Bank of Hungary sign memorandum to deepen cooperation
The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, has met with the Vice Governor of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary), Péter Benő Banai.
According to the NBG, the bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of the regional central bank governors’ conference held in Tbilisi.
During the session, the officials discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between the two central monetary authorities. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), thus establishing a new structural framework for knowledge-sharing and the exchange of international best practices.
According to official NBG statements, the MoU outlines comprehensive cooperation across key financial areas, including monetary policy formulation, international reserves management, payment systems development, financial services expansion, and the regulatory supervision of financial institutions.
