National Center for Disease Control denies use of vaccines dangerous for health
Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director General of National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, denies information that vaccines dangerous for health were used in the immunization program.
Imnadze said that the vaccine mentioned by the Audit Office was brought in the country in 2016 in full compliance with the law. According to Paata Imnadze, Audit Office specifically spoke about the vaccine against rabies, which is a vital medicine.
“The vaccine was introduced in accordance with the legislation and we did not have any case of rabies in the country for the last three years. And nobody had any complications after being vaccinated. The Audit Office made wrong interpenetration,” Imnadze claimed.
According to the State Audit Office, the audit showed that the vaccine used for 29 999 patients in Georgia, could not pass the registration, but was still allowed on the market by a commission on the basis of minimal standard.
