“According to research by the Chandler Institute of Governance, Georgia holds leading positions across all performance indicators,” the Chair of the Parliamentary Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, MP Rati Ionatamishvili, has declared.

He added that against the backdrop of such objective evaluations, the resolutions passed by certain international institutions against Georgia are nothing more than worthless scraps of paper.

“On the international stage, the Chandler Institute is one of the most significant and objective evaluators, commanding high institutional authority. Its research is grounded in objective assessments. According to these studies, Georgia occupies vanguard positions across all sectors, be it the good governance index, transparency, the fight against corruption, or the safeguarding of private property rights. In light of these findings, we see that the resolutions passed by specific institutions against Georgia are not worth the paper they are written on. Consequently, by acting in this manner, these bodies are merely damaging the reputation of their own institutions,” Ionatamishvili noted.

The Chandler Institute has published its 2026 Chandler Good Government Index, which ranks the Georgian government among Europe’s top 20 for governance that fosters private sector development. According to the report, Georgia outperforms all EU candidate countries and 17 EU and NATO member states, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Turkey.
