MP Levan Makhashvili: At the UN, the Prime Minister clearly stated that Georgia will cooperate with all who respect the principle of equality

The Prime Minister delivered a significant address at the United Nations General Assembly, stated MP Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration.

As Makhashvili noted, the Prime Minister explicitly declared from the high rostrum that Georgia will remain a friend to all partners and will cooperate with anyone who respects the principle of equality.

“Naturally, he addressed the occupation of Georgia and its sovereignty. He noted that dialogue, communication, and mutual respect are essential under conditions of occupied territories. The Prime Minister stated that throughout history, Georgian statehood has faced trials on numerous occasions, yet Georgia has always emerged victorious and strengthened.

He placed particular emphasis on the occupation, as it remains one of our paramount national challenges. Long-term peace cannot be achieved through coercion or force, which is why dialogue is so vital.

He highlighted Georgia’s key role in the Middle Corridor and noted that within a few years, Georgia intends to make multi-billion-dollar investments. From that high rostrum, he clearly affirmed that Georgia will be a friend to all partners and will cooperate with anyone who respects the principle of equality,” noted Makhashvili.
