Monetary compensation increased to members of GPB Board of Trustees

The 27 263 GEL envisaged for the honorary of members of Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) will be distributed among 8 persons one time that is 3 407 GEL for each member.

Members of GPB Board made the decision unanimously. During the sitting, the board approved the issue of honorary. The monthly honorary of Chairman of Board will be 6 500 GEL, Deputy Chairperson will have 4 800 GEL, while a member – 4 200 GEL. Previously, monthly honorary of Chairman of Board was 5 800 GEL, while a member received 3 800 GEL.

Board members explained that the increase is regulated by the law since the budget of Board of Trustees amounts 1.5% of the broadcaster’s total budget. The Board of Trustees of Georgian Public Broadcaster also approved 2019 budget during the sitting.
