May will be very difficult, as well as June and the end of the year in general, a serious economic recession is expected, – Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava told reporters, responding to Geostat’s data on the economic growth decline by 16.6% in April.

According to Turnava, Georgia has all the resources to make 2021 the year of economic growth.

“A 16.6% decline in the economic growth was expected in April. This is the result of our policy. You know that we had a state of emergency in the country, economic activity was substantially limited, and we did this deliberately to protect the population from the spread of the pandemic.

However, I will not hide that May will also be very difficult, as well as June and in general, the end of the year. A serious decline is expected in the economy in the whole world and in Europe.
