NBG Acting President: IMF to visit Georgia in March

“We continue working with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) intensively to expedite the hindered program restoring and plan other technical aid projects,” said Natia Turnava, Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).

Natia Turnava announced that the IMF will conduct its next mission in Georgia in March.

“We have positive expectations, although it is difficult to speak about concrete terms. On the whole, the relationship is positive, which is also well reflected in the assessments of leading rating companies,” she said.

Referring to the NBG Board issue, Natia Turnava mentioned that although four seats, including the NBG president’s post, remained vacant, the board was capable of acting and each member was motivated to contribute to the working process.
