MIA urges protesters to follow legal requests of police

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reiterates its call to the organizers and participants of the protest rally “to follow the legal requests of the police and not to exceed limits defined by the law on freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.”

“In case protests participants will ignore the legal requests of the police, and go beyond the norms established by the law on freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, the law enforcement officers will administer special means by the law to maintain public order.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will take appropriate legal actions within the framework of the acting legislation on each case of violation,” reads the statement.

The protest is underway against the Draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence outside the Parliament building.
