Metropolitan Shio's poisoning allegations could be partly grounded based blood test results, Andria Jagmaidze says

“Metropolitan Shio Mujiri’s poisoning allegations could be partly grounded based on a greater amount of heavy metals in his blood test results,” Dean Andria Jagmaidze, head of the public relations department of the Georgian Patriarchate, told journalists on Thursday.

According to him, Metropolitan’s condition is normal and continues working.

“I don’t think it is appropriate to express doubts and some assumptions now. We have to wait, what further observation and research will unveil,” Jagmaidze asserted, adding that the Patriarchate has not yet officially applied for investigation.

Earlier today, several Georgian media outlets reported that Metropolitan Shio Mujiri of the Eparchy of Senaki and Chkhorotsku was poisoned.
