Marina Ezugbaia - First patient with COVID-19 retests negative for the virus

The medical director of Tbilisi Infectious Hospital Marina Ezugbaia said the first patient infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) retested negative. As for the second patient, his repeated test results will be known later on today.

Marina Ezugbaia did not rule out that the cured patient would leave the hospital today. This individual has to self-isolate for a week.

Georgia confirmed 3 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 33.

The updated data is available at the new webpage – www.stopcov.ge – launched by the Government of Georgia, which aims to inform the society of the situation in the country amid the novel virus outbreak in the world.

According to the webpage, 427 are quarantined, while 73 are under hospital observation.
