Locals in Kakheti rally for state assistance

Locals of Kabali village, Lagodekhi Municipality of the eastern Kakheti region of Georgia, are holding a protest rally.

They say the hailstorm damaged their crops and are asking for assistance from the government. Otherwise, they threaten to block the central road.

Protesters claimed they have financial liabilities due to bank credits. Representatives of the local authorities explained they would mediate with the financial organizations to postpone their debts.  They also pledged to help to restore the damaged infrastructure.

The police were mobilized in the village.
