“Lelo for Georgia” refuses to take up their mandates in parliament. The leader of the party Badri Japaridze made this announcement at today’s briefing.
According to Badri Japaridze, Lelo does not recognize the elections as legitimate.
“We do not recognize the elections as legitimate, it is falsified, does not reflect the will of the Georgian people, therefore, the political council of Lelo discussed today and decided that Lelo is not going to enter this parliament because we are not going to legitimize the illegitimately elected parliament. We continue to fight for truly free and democratic elections in Georgia, the results of which really reflect the will of the Georgian people,” – Japaridze said.
According to him, “Lelo for Georgia” is glad that other opposition parties share their position.
