Lasha Khutsishvili: Georgia continues to collaborate with int'l partners

Lasha Khutsishvili, a candidate for the Minister of Finance, on Tuesday, said Georgia joined the process of preparing a medium-term economic reform program by the European Commission.

In his report to the parliamentary committees, Khutsishvili went on to say that the government has already submitted the Economic Reform Program for 2024-2026 to the European Commission.

The document, according to Khutsishvili, is a medium-term planning tool for the EU candidate countries, with more development planned for 2024.

The nominee for Finance Minister also stated that Georgia continues to collaborate with international and bilateral partners.

“In 2022, Georgia joined the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) and this year, it is also planned to join the Asian Development Bank’s platform as a donor organization.

Active preparation is currently underway to host the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank in May 2024, which will be the largest event with 4,000 delegates from 68 countries in attendance,” Khutsishvili added.
