Kobakhidze: Opposition is in dire straits; we await the Constitutional Court’s ruling, after which we shall all breathe a sigh of relief
“The opposition is in dire straits; painful developments are unfolding there, and all of this is an echo of weakness,” declared Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a press briefing at the Government Administration.
According to the Prime Minister, the public is awaiting the Constitutional Court decision.
“We are awaiting the decision of the Constitutional Court of Georgia. I believe that once this ruling is delivered, we shall all breathe a collective sigh of relief. The opposition is in dire straits; painful developments are unfolding, and all of this echoes weakness. When any organism weakens, it manifests physically, and in this case, their infighting and mutual vitriol are the clear expressions of that decay,” Kobakhidze stated.
For context, the constitutional lawsuit lodged by Georgian Dream seeks to declare the activities of the United National Movement, Coalition for Change, Strong Georgia – Lelo, and the Federalists unconstitutional, paving the way for their formal ban.
