Starting May 27, Kazakh airline AIR ASTANA will launch a new route at Tbilisi International Airport.
The airline will operate flights on the Atyrau-Tbilisi route with a frequency of three times per week. Tickets can already be purchased on the airline’s website airastana.com.
Additionally, Central Asia’s largest airline, Air Astana, will operate direct flights from Almaty to Tbilisi during the summer season with a frequency of 9 times per week. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the airline will fly to the Georgian capital twice daily.
From June, seasonal flights on the Almaty-Batumi route will resume with a frequency of three times per week, while for the July-August period, the airline is considering increasing frequencies to up to 5 times per week.
Air Astana will also resume flights between Tbilisi and Kazakhstan’s capital from June with a frequency of three times per week.
As for Kutaisi International Airport, FlyArystan, Air Astana’s subsidiary low-cost airline, operates flights from Kutaisi to five cities in Kazakhstan. During the summer season, the number of flights to and from Kazakhstan will increase from 10 to 17 frequencies per week. FlyArystan operates direct regular flights to Kutaisi International Airport from Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, and Shymkent.
In 2024, Kazakh airlines held a 3.9% share of the Georgian market. Last year, 178,930 international visitors from Kazakhstan visited Georgia.
