Kakha Kemoklidze – All participants of meeting agreed that steps must be taken for de-escalation
The meeting at Chorchana village was held in a constructive environment and this is a step forward – Kakha Kemoklidze, Chief of Staff of Georgia’s National Security Council (NSC) told reporters after the meeting.
According to Kemoklidze, all participants of the meeting agreed that steps must be taken for de-escalation of the situation. “Despite differences of opinions, the common pathos and purpose served the aim to discharge the tension,” he said.
A meeting was held at the village of Chorchana between the Georgian side, representatives of the de facto Tskhinvali and Russian occupation forces. Representatives of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) and OSCE also took part in the meeting.
