Interior Ministry detained accused of murdering Dodo Gugeshashvili's son

The officers of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with the employees of Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office, as a result of jointly held complex investigative and operative-search activities, solved high profile case of murder and the attempted murder that took place in Tbilisi, in 2018, – Kakha Sabanadze, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs made this statement at the Briefing held today.

According to Kakha Sabanadze, Law enforcers detained one person with previous conviction for committing the murder of Grigol Gugeshashvili and the attempted murder of Dodo Gugeshashvili. Z.M. was detained on the basis of the Court decision.

Investigation on the fact of the attempted murder against two or more persons and premeditated is in progress under the article 19-109 and 108, III part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The committed crime envisages from 16 to 20 years of imprisonment.
