Revaz Sokhadze, Georgia’s Infrastructure Minister, met with Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Projects, which aim at Georgia’s inclusive and sustainable development, were reviewed during the meeting. The Minister familiarised the guest with the Georgian government’s vision in strengthening regional ties, developing transport corridors, and renewing cities and regions.
Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana emphasised the role of Georgia in the development of the Silk Road modern network and spoke about active cooperation prospects for the future.
Deputy Infrastructure Minister Mzia Giorgobiani and Nikolay Pomoshchnikov, Head of the United Nations Subregional Office for North and Central Asia, attended the meeting.
Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana is visiting Georgia within the framework of the 5th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum. She will address the “Rewiring Global Trade” panel participants.
