IMF Director Christine Lagarde to visit Georgia

Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde will visit Georgia. The visit is scheduled for the second half of May. National Bank of Georgia (NBG) confirms the information.

According to the National Bank, the President of the National Bank of Georgia, Koba Gvenetadze, who is on a visit to Washington, will take part in working meetings related to the visit of the Director of the International Monetary Fund to Georgia.

This is the first time when the IMF director arrives in Georgia.

“Extended Fund Facility” program supported by the International Monetary Fund is being implemented in Georgia.
