According to the National Environmental Agency, Georgia is expected to experience intermittent precipitation from December 17 to 19, with heavy snow and blizzards in mountainous and highland areas, strong westerly winds, and a sea storm reaching 4-6 points.
“The anticipated precipitation could lead to a significant rise in river levels in Western Georgia, flash floods in smaller rivers, landslides and mudslides in hilly areas, and avalanches in high-mountain regions. Due to heavy snowfall, avalanche risks, loose ice, and poor visibility, traffic restrictions may be imposed on certain road sections. (Danger level: medium),” the National Environmental Agency stated.
