The National Environmental Agency (NEA) forecasts intermittent precipitation across Georgia from late afternoon on 28 September through the morning of 1 October. Rainfall will be heavy at times across most of western Georgia and in localised areas of the eastern mountainous and high-mountainous regions.

Meteorologists report that thunderstorms, hail, squally winds, and sea swells reaching force 3–4 are also possible.

“The expected heavy downpours may cause significant rises in water levels on rivers, flash floods on smaller waterways, and the trigger or activation of landslide and mudslide processes in hilly and mountainous areas (medium risk level),” the National Environmental Agency stated in its bulletin.
