According to the National Environmental Agency, eastern Georgia is expected to experience rain starting from the afternoon of May 5 through the morning of May 6. In some areas, rainfall may be heavy, accompanied by lightning, hail, and strong winds.
The agency warns that the anticipated precipitation could lead to a significant rise in river water levels, flash floods in smaller rivers, and the potential activation of landslides and mudslides in hilly and mountainous regions. The danger level has been classified as medium.
