GPB Director-General: Training course to grant participants Education Ministry’s licensed certificate

Those, who undergo the training course of a cameraman at the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) will receive the Education Ministry’s licensed certificate, said Tinatin Bedzenishvili, Director-General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB).

According to GPB Director-General, both GPB staff and other interested persons can apply. “I think we are starting a very interesting program. This is a camera operator training program in which cameramen employed in our organization as well as outside this organization can participate,” Berdzenishvili said.

GPB announced opening of a free-of-charge professional cameramen training program. The deadline for application is September 29. The program duration is 12 weeks making 192 hours. Applicants should undergo registration at www.vet.emis.ge. They will be selected through their submitted portfolio and interviewing.

The applicants will gain theoretical and practical skills of a cameraman during the program and will work with modern equipment.

The program includes both a theoretical course on the history of the development of camera equipment and the theory of photography, as well as practical training in the study of optics, video equipment and video-shooting.

Practical lessons will be held in the building of Georgian Public Broadcaster. A special space is allocated for theoretical studies.
