Georgian wrestler Konstantine Petriashvili wins Gold at Stepan Sargsian Cup

Eighteen-year-old Georgian wrestler Konstantine Petriashvili (97 kg) has won the gold medal at an international freestyle wrestling tournament in Yerevan.

Petriashvili won four bouts at the Stepan Sargsian Cup. On his way to the final, the Georgian wrestler defeated opponents from Belarus, Russia and Armenia.

In the final, Petriashvili defeated Belarusian Vladislav Kazlou, last year’s European U23 champion, 10-0.

The gold medal marks Petriashvili’s first international title at a senior-level competition.
