Gov't temporarily lifts traffic restrictions for Christmas

The Georgian government temporarily lifts traffic restrictions on Wednesday for the upcoming Christmas holiday.

The ban on movement between 9 pm on January 6 to 5 am on January 7 will be suspended.

The Covid-19 Interagency Coordination Council, led by the Georgian Prime Minister, urges citizens to celebrate Christmas in the family circle.

In a bid to curb the Covid-19 spread, the Georgian government announced a two-month partial lockdown on November 28.
