Gomis Mta resort of Ozurgeti Municipality, Guria region, has been assigned the status of settlement during the extraordinary sitting of Ozurgeti Sakrebulo (City council).

The Sakrebulo approved the initiative of Ozurgeti Municipality City Hall. The infrastructure Commission presented a positive conclusion. Gomis Mta will be the 30th administrative unit in Ozurgeti Municipality. Rehabilitation of road is planned within the framework of the initiative.

Gomis Mta resort is located in river Bzhuzhi gorge of Guria region of Georgia, 17km from Ozurgeti at the height of 2100 meters above from the sea level.

The resort is distinguished with its panoramic views, pine forests, Rhododendron luteum, beautiful mountains and many beautiful summer cottages of Alpine zone. The resort is very beautiful at every season especially in spring (June).
