Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili expresses gratitude to U.S. government for constant support.
As Prime Minister stated at today’s meeting of Supervisory Board of Millennium Challenge Fund, the support has been once again demonstrated by approving the $140 million grant (Compact II) for Georgia, which aims at ensuring economic growth through the development of human capital.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili says that the support of the US government definitely has transformational influence on Georgia, and the Compact II is one of the most successful programs funded by the U.S. government in Georgia.
“As a result of implementing Compact II, the earning potential of Georgians will be increased through improvements in the quality of education and human capital, based on the labor market requirements and it is very important. The Government of Georgia welcomes the possibility of cooperation with the U.S. Government with regard to the further development of achievements of the First and Second Compacts. Negotiations with the Millennium Challenge Fund about the future cooperation issues have already been launched through the components of Compact III, which is very important. Within the visit to U.S., we had very interesting discussions with senior officials about the achievements of the first and second compacts “, – Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
