Gigi Ugulava asked to hand over his passport to investigation

Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia Party was ordered to hand over his passport and other ID documents to an investigative body at the decision of Tbilisi City Court.

Based on the verdict made by Zviad Sharadze, judge of the Tbilisi City Court, Ugulava will also have to pay the bail in the amount of 2 000 GEL within a 30-day term. The pre-trial hearing is scheduled for January 30, 2020.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Gigi Ugulava and one of the participants of the physical conflict at Tbilisi airport were charged with violence, while co-mate Goka Gabashvili and another person involved in the incident were declared victims.

The incident took place on December 11 at Tbilisi International Airport. According to European Georgia, two men assaulted Gigi Ugulava and Goka Gabashvili.
