German media: Number of deportations from Germany increased in 2025, highest number deported to Tukiye and Georgia

The number of deportations from Germany has risen significantly this year. The largest number of people were deported to Turkiye and Georgia, the German Public Broadcaster reported.

From January to September, 17,651 people were deported. In the same period last year, the number was 14,706, an increase of 1/5 approximately.

Most of those deported were to Turkey (1,614) and Georgia (1,379). Almost one in five of those deported (3,095) was a child or adolescent.

Migration was a major issue in Germany during the snap elections period. The German government ordered tighter border controls following the elections.
