GeoStat: Georgian economy grew 6.3 per cent in August
Georgia’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 6.3 per cent year-on-year in August 2026, according to preliminary estimates from the National Statistics Office (GeoStat). The figure brings average growth for the first eight months of the year to 7.6 per cent.
According to GeoStat, key drivers of economic growth in August included manufacturing, information and communication, financial and insurance activities, real estate, wholesale and retail trade, as well as transport and storage.
Conversely, the construction sector contracted over the same period.
