Georgia’s First Lady addresses cultural event at WIPO Assembly in Geneva
Georgia’s First Lady, Tamar Bagrationi, addressed a cultural event held on the sidelines of the World Intellectual Property Organization Assembly in Geneva, the Presidential Administration reported.
During her remarks, Bagrationi highlighted the importance of the long-standing cooperation between Georgia and WIPO, saying the partnership has produced significant results in protecting the country’s cultural heritage and advancing intellectual property development.
She also drew attention to Georgia’s unique cultural heritage, including the Georgian alphabet, the country’s millennia-old winemaking tradition, and its rich historical legacy. Bagrationi thanked WIPO and its Director General, Daren Tang, for supporting the protection and promotion of Georgia’s cultural heritage.
According to the Presidential Administration, participants at the event had the opportunity to explore Georgia’s centuries-old cultural heritage through historical exhibits, sample Georgian wine, and experience traditional Georgian music and dance.
