Georgia’s Finance Minister meets Nepalese counterpart

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili has met with Swarnim Wagle, Nepal’s Minister of Finance, on the sidelines of the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

According to Georgia’s Ministry of Finance, the introductory meeting saw the Nepalese side express strong interest in Georgia’s track record in public finance management, budgetary transparency, and legislative process reform.

“Discussions also touched upon Georgia’s practical steps to improve the business environment and attract foreign investment, particularly in tax policy and tax administration. The two sides explored opportunities for bilateral cooperation and knowledge sharing.

Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze also attended the meeting,” the ministry stated in an official release.
