With the financial and organisational backing of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was featured at 11 major exhibitions and festivals across eight countries during the second quarter of this year: Japan, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, the USA, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Belarus.

According to the National Wine Agency, nearly 80 individual presentations and tastings of Georgian wine were also held in ten nations worldwide, including Germany, Australia, the USA, Turkey, Norway, France, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea, and the UK.

“As part of the state programme to promote Georgian wine locally, and with the financial support of the National Wine Agency, 15 individual events, comprising masterclasses, exhibitions, festivals, competitions, and forums, were held within Georgia.

During the reporting period, nine dedicated wine tours were also organised in Georgia, welcoming international wine professionals, trade experts, and members of the media.

In total, nearly 200 wine companies and small cellars participated in these various events, both at home and abroad.

To bolster the global profile of Georgian wine, active collaborations continued with prominent international media outlets and publications, such as Gambero Rosso TV, SOMM TV, the New York Post, SevenFifty Daily, VinePair, and Grapefriend.

Furthermore, on the initiative of the National Wine Agency under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, and by decree of the Government of Georgia, National Wine Day has been officially established on May 8 to showcase Georgian wine as a core element of national identity, celebrating its centuries-old history and deep-rooted cultural heritage.

Targeted campaigns across strategic and high-priority markets are currently being delivered by the National Wine Agency’s contractor companies. Supported by the agency, Georgian producers are maintaining a strong presence at all major international wine and spirits exhibitions, backed by amplified media campaigns and consumer-focused activations.
The USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea, and Japan remain our primary strategic markets,” the National Wine Agency stated.
