To enhance the export potential of Georgian wine and diversify international markets, the National Wine Agency provided both financial and organisational support. In the first nine months of 2025, Georgian wines were showcased at 21 trade shows and festivals, alongside approximately 220 tasting seminars held across the USA, Europe, and Asia.

According to the National Wine Agency, during the same period, 13 wine tours took place within Georgia, attracting participation from international wine professionals. These events enabled wine masters, experts, sommeliers, and representatives of the commercial sector from Germany, Japan, China, Great Britain, the United States, and other nations to taste Georgian wines on-site.

“It is also worth highlighting the numerous wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals held throughout Georgia under the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine in the Domestic Market. These initiatives aim to promote Georgian wine, strengthen wine tourism, and foster a deeper wine-loving culture. During this period, a total of 18 exhibitions and festivals, along with five tastings and competitions, were held nationwide.

The National Wine Agency continues to support the national marketing programme, co-financing expenses for companies that export to various markets worldwide, excluding the CIS and GUAM countries. In 2025, nine Georgian wine producers received a total of GEL 692,969 in co-financing through this scheme.

All these activities are part of the “State Programme for the Promotion of Georgian Wine,” which this year was allocated a budget of GEL 17.4 million, exceeding last year’s figure by GEL 1.4 million,” the Wine Agency’s statement reads.
