The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stands in solidarity with Austria following the attack on a school in Graz.
“We are deeply shocked by the tragic school shooting in Graz, Austria. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the Austrian people during this difficult time. We stand in solidarity with Austria and wish swift and full recovery to all those injured,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on the social network X.
Austria has declared three days of mourning after an armed attack on a school in Graz, the country’s second-largest city.
According to the latest data, nine people were killed and twelve others injured during the attack. The assailant was a 21-year-old man from Graz, Austria, who had previously been a student at the same school but did not graduate. He ultimately committed suicide in the school’s restroom.
