Georgian Interior Minister meets with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Faig Guliyev

Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, met with Faig Guliyev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

During the meeting, Minister Tamazashvili outlined the Ministry’s key priorities and current police reforms to the Ambassador.

“The sides underscored the vital importance of the close and friendly ties connecting the two nations, with particular focus placed on the fruitful and effective cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Azerbaijan,” the Ministry statement read.

“Future perspectives for bilateral relations were also reviewed during the meeting, with both parties expressing full readiness to actively continue cooperation across various domains. In conclusion, the sides noted that joint efforts will serve to further deepen the existing security and law enforcement partnership,” the statement added.
