Georgian handball team to get one million lari prize from gov't

The Georgian government has announced a financial reward of one million lari for the national handball team following their qualification for the European Championship. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has signed the relevant decree on Thursday.

The national handball team secured their place in the European Championship after defeating Greece in a decisive match held at Tbilisi Arena today. This marks the second consecutive time Georgia has qualified for the prestigious tournament.

According to the government administration, Prime Minister Kobakhidze attended the match alongside the President and other government officials. The Prime Minister personally thanked members of the national handball team, congratulated them on their victory, and wished them continued success.
