Georgian Government Administration Chief: PM set to address UNGA to highlight strategic projects and international cooperation

“In just a few hours, the Prime Minister of Georgia will address the United Nations General Assembly,” Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani stated in the United States.

Zhorzholiani highlighted the core themes that the Prime Minister will address during his speech before the UN General Assembly.

“The first is de-occupation, which remains the country’s paramount security challenge. It will be emphasised that de-occupation and the restoration of territorial integrity must be achieved strictly through peaceful means and diplomacy. Furthermore, the importance of economic growth in this context will be underscored. The Prime Minister will highlight our economic growth, which has averaged 9.3% over the past five years—an unprecedented figure and the highest in the region,” Zhorzholiani said.

“The Prime Minister will speak about the strategic projects designed to strengthen our nation’s role as a regional connectivity hub. He will also address the crucial importance of international cooperation founded on mutual respect for sovereignty. This is particularly vital for a small nation like Georgia. Accordingly, the Prime Minister will stress that we stand ready to cooperate with absolutely everyone, provided such collaboration is built firmly upon this principle,” Zhorzholiani added.
