Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with the Ambassador of Qatar to Georgia, Hassan bin Ahmed Al-Mutawa.
The Ministry said that the parties discussed key issues of bilateral relations, such as strengthening economic connections and exploring new prospects.
“It was underlined that Georgia needs to increase bilateral and multilateral collaboration with the Gulf nations.
The duo also emphasised the necessity of expanding Georgia’s tourist sector.
In addition, the parties emphasized the successful operation of the airline Qatar Airlines in Georgia, which is especially important for the deepening of economic and people-to-people ties,” reads the statement.
