Georgian FM hails Georgia-Azerbaijan key regional projects, significant in Middle Corridor context
“The most significant regional projects we have been able to implement over recent decades are precisely the result of excellent bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and their importance is growing even more today, specifically in the context of the Middle Corridor,” declared Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili at a joint briefing with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
According to Maka Botchorishvili, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway represent an incomplete list of projects being implemented that have even greater significance today than when their implementation began.
“The excellent examples we have created through the implementation of precisely these projects provide a good foundation for building more, implementing more regional projects. In this context, trilateral cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkiye is particularly noteworthy. This format is highly important, and Georgia is actively committed to strengthening collaboration within this trilateral framework,” stated Maka Botchorishvili.
