Georgia reported 858 coronavirus cases, 580 recoveries, and 14 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show. The positivity rate for the last 7 days stands at 3, 8%.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 339 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 158 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 85 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 259 209, among them 250 289 people recovered and 3 208 died.
There are 480 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 520 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 283 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, there are 575 critical patients, among them, 160 require mechanical ventilation.
