Georgia reports 344 coronavirus cases, 240 recoveries, 9 deaths

Georgia reported 344 coronavirus cases, 240 recoveries, and 9 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 188 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 58 cases and the Guria region with 22 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1, 07 %, while 1,49 % in the past 14 days.

A total of 32 090 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21 945 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 145 were PCR tests.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 274 721, among them, 267 004 people recovered and 3 643 died.

There are 241 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 316 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 131 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
