Georgia reports 1 576 coronavirus cases, 584 recoveries, 29 deaths

Georgia reported 1 576 coronavirus cases, 584 recoveries, and 29 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 868 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 162 cases and the Samegreo-Zemo Svaneti region with 130 cases.

A total of 44 278 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 28 539 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15 739 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3, 56%, while 5, 11% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 329 407, among them, 307 918 people recovered and 4 426 died.

As of today, 85 286 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

There are 60 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4 258 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 729 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
