Georgia ranks 13th in Europe in quality of its judiciary, according to the Chandler Institute of Governance

The Chandler Institute of Governance has released its Quality of Judiciary Index as part of the 2025 Good Government Index report.

Globally, Georgia’s judiciary is ranked 27th, and within Europe, it secures the 13th position among the top 20.

The study highlights that the 14 leading judicial systems in Europe are found in the following countries: Georgia, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Iceland, Germany, Estonia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Luxembourg.

The assessment of judicial system quality is based on research conducted by the World Economic Forum, which considers two key questions:
1. To what extent can the judicial system make decisions without being influenced by the government, powerful individuals, or corporations?
2. How efficient are the legal and judicial systems in helping companies resolve disputes?
