Georgia, Kazakhstan sign memorandum on higher education and science cooperation
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, along with his government delegation, is on an official visit to Kazakhstan.
The delegation includes the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Aleksandre Tsuladze, who met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Education, the two ministers signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to strengthen partnerships in higher education and science. The agreement includes scholarship programs for students at all three levels of higher education, academic staff and researcher exchange programs, expanded university cooperation, training and retraining initiatives for academic staff, joint scientific research, and information exchange. The memorandum also emphasizes collaboration in technology and innovation.
Additionally, research organizations from both countries will jointly participate in scientific competitions under the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation.
“This document will enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, including the mutual recognition of educational documents,” the Ministry of Education stated.
