Georgia and Uzbekistan sign pacts to bolster bilateral healthcare cooperation

As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Georgia, a series of memoranda of understanding has been signed across various sectors to deepen the partnership between the two nations. The Ministry of Health reported.

According to the Ministry, Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, signed the healthcare memorandum alongside his Uzbek counterparts.

The Minister stated that these agreements unlock new horizons for both nations.

“Highly significant cooperation documents have been signed between the relevant authorities of Georgia and Uzbekistan. I believe this represents an outstanding opportunity for both our countries, as it will serve as a powerful catalyst for deepening crucial cooperation in these fields and strengthening capabilities on both sides,” the Health Minister noted.

Mikheil Sarjveladze emphasised that the Ministry intends to build on this momentum, which is set to yield positive long-term results.

“We are exceptionally optimistic about the trajectory of this partnership, and it must be noted that collaboration within these two critically important sectors will be mutually beneficial. Naturally, our Ministry plans to sustain and deepen this initiative, and I am confident it will create excellent opportunities for future development,” Sarjveladze added.

The Uzbek delegation’s visit to Georgia is ongoing, with further bilateral meetings scheduled with representatives from various state agencies.
