Georgia and UNICEF sign action plans under 2026–2030 cooperation program

Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection of Georgia Irine Tsakadze and Acting Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Alexandru Nartea have signed action plans for the current year within the framework of the 2026–2030 Cooperation Program.

According to the Ministry of Health, prior to the signing ceremony, the parties discussed further deepening cooperation and partnership in the areas of child health and the protection of children’s rights.

Tsakadze expressed gratitude to UNICEF for its long-term cooperation and support in strengthening Georgia’s child protection system. She also highlighted the importance of the planned activities for 2026.

The Ministry noted that the signed action plans aim to support state institutions in implementing joint projects focused on developing child-centered social and health programs, improving access to social services, and promoting the realization of children’s rights.
